--- title: Fidatory description: Point-in-time public economic data from official sources, for programs and AI agents. url: https://fidatory.com/ human_page: https://fidatory.com/?for=humans api: https://api.fidatory.com/v1 mcp: https://api.fidatory.com/mcp api_docs: https://api.fidatory.com/llms-full.txt status: pre-launch contact: hello@fidatory.com --- # Fidatory You are reading the agent view of fidatory.com. People see the same content as a designed page at https://fidatory.com/?for=humans. Fidatory collects public economic data directly from official sources (starting with SEC EDGAR), keeps every revision, and serves it point in time: you can ask any question as of any past moment and get exactly what was knowable then. Every record is provable against a public daily digest. **Status:** pre-launch. The API and MCP server at `api.fidatory.com` open at launch. To get early access, write to hello@fidatory.com. ## Use it from an agent - **MCP (hosted, Streamable HTTP):** `https://api.fidatory.com/mcp` - **REST:** `https://api.fidatory.com/v1` - **Full API reference in one Markdown file:** https://api.fidatory.com/llms-full.txt - **Short index:** https://api.fidatory.com/llms.txt ```json { "mcpServers": { "fidatory": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.fidatory.com/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer fdc_live_..." } } } } ``` MCP tools: `list_datasets`, `describe_dataset`, `query_records`, `get_record`, `search_references`, `get_reference`, `get_proof`. REST takes the same arguments. ### Paying - **API key:** `Authorization: Bearer fdc_live_...`. A free plan includes every dataset, point-in-time queries and 1,000 credits a month (1 credit per 100 records). - **No key, pay per call with [x402](https://x402.org):** USDC on Base, $0.001 per call. A paid call without payment answers HTTP 402 with a `PAYMENT-REQUIRED` header. Retry with `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE` and the answer carries `PAYMENT-RESPONSE`. Over MCP the payment goes in `params._meta["x402/payment"]`. The catalog, proofs and the tool list are free. A call that fails is never charged. ### Example ```sh curl -G https://api.fidatory.com/v1/datasets/sec.insider_transactions/records \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $FDC_KEY" \ -d refs=cik:320193 \ -d as_of=2025-03-31T20:00:00Z \ -d revisions=first_reported ``` ## Datasets at launch | Dataset | What it holds | History from | | --- | --- | --- | | `sec.filings` | Every EDGAR filing, one record per filer: form, dates, acceptance time, 8-K items | 1994 | | `sec.insider_transactions` | Every transaction and holding line of Forms 3, 4 and 5 and their amendments | 2003 | | `sec.companies` | Company reference data: names, tickers, exchanges, SIC, fiscal year end | 1994 | | `sec.financial_facts` | XBRL facts as reported in each filing, every restatement included | 2009 | | `ref.identifiers`, `ref.names` | Identifiers and names of the Entity Registry, with validity | - | New filings are served within about a minute of their publication on EDGAR. ## What every record guarantees - **Three times:** `effective` (when the fact is true), `available_at` (when the market could know it), `known_at` (when Fidatory served it). `as_of` answers as Fidatory knew it then, with no look-ahead bias. - **Every revision kept:** amendments and restatements become new revisions next to the old ones. Ask for `latest`, `first_reported` or `all`. - **Verifiable:** each revision is hashed into a chain with a Merkle proof; a digest of the chain is published every day. `get_proof` returns the path from a record to that digest. - **Provenance:** every record links to its source document and the archived raw file. - **Formats:** amounts are decimal strings; CIKs are 10-digit strings with leading zeros; references accept public IDs (`fdc_entity_...`) or identifiers such as `cik:320193`. ## Two products - **Fidatory Data** (`api.fidatory.com`): clean, normalized, point-in-time datasets parsed from primary sources. For developers, fintechs, quants and AI agents. - **Fidatory Intelligence** (`intel.fidatory.com`, later): answers organized around companies, such as events, scores and cross-source signals, each with its inputs and method. Data says "revenue fell 12% year on year"; Intelligence says "this company is deteriorating" and shows which indicators, compared with what, and the methodology version. ## Coverage plan - **At launch:** SEC EDGAR (above). - **Next:** SEC 13F, 13D/G, fund holdings and offerings; US macro and rates (Treasury yields, CPI, labor, GDP, H.15, SOFR, auctions, CFTC positioning, central bank policy rates); FINRA short interest, Reg SHO, GLEIF LEIs, exchange calendars. - **Planned:** government and procurement (USAspending, SAM.gov, EU TED, Turkish EKAP), regulatory and risk, healthcare and banking, technology and workforce, trade and energy, and international filings (EDINET, DART, Companies House, ESEF, KAP, CVM, SEDAR+). ## Principles - Official sources only. - Licensed where required; redistribution rights by plan. - Scores and signals describe data; they are not recommendations to buy or sell any security.
